Apple has completely revamped the way you navigate in Safari
If you need to go back while using Safari or other Apps, don’t bother looking for the back button:
Swiping in from the left will go back.
At the top of the screen is the new unified smart search box.

In settings, the Smart Search Field can also be edited to disable Search Suggestions, as well as a Preload Top Hit option.
Tabs are now stacked vertically in a 3D perspective view and you can scroll between them to switch between tabs and there’s no longer an 8 tab limit in Safari.
To close a page, just swipe it offscreen.
